Looking back towards Washington from Astoria, Oregon.

It took just over an hour to get to Cannon Beach from Cape Disappointment. Another beautiful flip-flop day!

Haystack Rock has an elevation of 235 feet (72 m) and is sometimes accessible at low tide. It is made of igneous rock, formed through the cooling of lava. You are supposed to be able to see caves but I think we were too far away with the tide in.
Left of Haystack Rock are the Needles, two tall rocks rising straight out of the water.

Laundry day. While we waited, we played some pool.

So far, this is the first resort we have stayed at with a hot tub and swimming pool. We spent a lot of time in this building during our three day stay.

We are off to Devil’s Lake, near Lincoln City.

Loving the blog! 🙂
Beautiful day!
Cannon Beach, as you know , is one of our favourite places in the world!
