We stayed at Morgan Hill RV Resort, about 40 minutes from Santa Cruz. Small world, we met a family from Vancouver and Maddie quickly became friends with the two kids.
We connected with Jana, my very talented cousin. She took us out to Natural Bridges State Beach. We also took the Monarch trail to see the butterflies and were rewarded with clusters of the world travellers.

Some of the butterflies look like leaves. Wish I had a camera with a telescopic lens!
We decided it was time for some lunch. Maddie had some “So Duh!” root beer. Really unique restaurant that used to be a winery.

The next day Jana took us out to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Amusement Park.

We had a blast playing mini golf! Bob even managed to get a hole in one on the last shot and win a free game right after I said it was impossible!
Jana took us up to the Hunter Hill Winery that she used to work for. We did a tasting and then a tour through the vineyard.

Maddie loved this sign and decided to take a picture of it.
Maddie also took this picture. I think she has an eye for photography.
Enjoying the view of the vineyard.
The vineyard had an abundance of avocados and lemons growing. The lemons are so sweet and full of flavour. Can’t wait to try the avocado! We stopped at one of the produce markets at the side of the road on our way back and bought some brussel sprouts. We didn’t know they grew like this…interesting.
Here is a picture of my new belt from Cali Maple Designs. Thank you Jana. Love the belt!
Next stop…Los Angeles!

What a wonderful, fun-filled time you have had with Jana! I love the photo you took of the cosmos flower Madi! xox Mom/Truda/Oma
