We drove out to the El Faro Lighthouse that marks the opening to port Mazatlan where all the large cruise ships enter. It is about a 20 minute drive south of our RV park along the malecon through old Mazatlan.
The trail was jungle like with lots of cats hiding in the foliage.
Looking back the way we came.

A great view of Mazatlan.
One of the views from El Faro showing the cruise ships and the Baja ferry in port.
It was a very humid day and we all felt like going for a swim when we were done. It was a great hike with our Danish friends.
We are standing beside the slide to the saltwater pool.
The waves would wash up over the edge of the pool and fill it up. How cool is that?

So many colourful buildings. We have gone on day trips just to walk around old Mazatlan to look at the beautiful architecture and interesting (sometimes strange) statues.

We have been here for almost two months and still have lots more to do and see!
