We were a little shocked when it started to snow on our drive to Crater Lake.
The snow was about 8-10 feet deep

Standing by the edge of the crater almost 2,000 feet high. Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the United States and number 10 in the world.
Crater Lake was created around 7,700 years ago by the collapse of volcano Mount Mazama.
Escape hatch for the washroom???

A few pictures from our trip back to Canada. Not sure if this Mount Shasta or Mount Hood…they kind of look the same from a distance. If I was to pick, I would say Mount Hood.
and this might be Mount Shasta.

Some of the hills looked like they were painted.
We stopped for a quick lunch in The Dalles before we crossed the Columbia River by the lock and dam. You could feel the power of the river.
It was such a beautiful day. There were so many people windsurfing, fishing, boating and hiking along the Columbia Gorge. This was also the route Lewis and Clark expedition used to reach the Pacific Ocean in 1805.
We took the Coho ferry from Port Angeles, WA to Victoria, BC.
Good bye Port Angeles, USA.
We saw a whale, sea lion and lots of dolphins during our crossing.
Entering Victoria harbour. We’re back!
