We had a very relaxing drive through Nebraska.

We had to check out Pikes Peak while we were in Colorado.
The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, also known as The Race to the Clouds, is an annual race to the summit of Pikes Peak. It is 20 km with over 156 turns, climbing 4,720 feet from the start at Mile 7 on Pikes Peak Highway, to the finish at 14,110 ft.
There were some real breathtaking views…especially from the passenger side. I can’t imagine racing up this mountain!

We went from 28 celsius in Colorado Springs to freezing temperatures at the summit. Should of brought a jacket!
Bob could have reached out and touched the cloud!

Garden of the Gods is justly named. Absolutely beautiful. The land was donated to the City of Colorado Springs on condition that it would be a free public park.

an other exciting trip, Whow. Keep on soaking up all the great impressions. Love Bill and Happy
