We took a day trip with friends and visited Jocotepec Malecon Park. Artwork everywhere!

Unfortunately, Lake Chapala is not for swimming and we didn’t want to wade through the plants to go out on our paddle board. Even though it was a very grey day out, it was still stunningly beautiful.

Lots of gorgeous birds everywhere. I really wish we had a better camera on days like this.
Mexican style lights.

There is a playground, volleyball court, skatepark, waterpark, running track, picnic tables and BBQ pits. This is a great place for a family picnic.
Vagabundo???
We had to get a picture with Vagabundo. Not really sure what is going on with his outfit but he looks like he is close to nature!

This dog followed us around while we were at the park. There are a lot of loose dogs in Mexico but unfortunately, they aren’t always friendly…just hungry. It is very sad.

Maddie loves her Mexican spicy chips! Mmmm.

I don’t think Maddie was impressed with getting a picture with big head guy.

Hilltop view of Jocotepec.
A bull fighting ring.
When driving in Mexico, you need to watch out for the cows, goats and horses on the road! Quite often there is a guy with a stick kindof keeping an eye on them but sometimes they are just wandering around on their own grazing where they please.
Looks like you had a great time.
