We visited El Quelite last year and decided to come back to do some further exploring.
The Lady of Guadalupe church.

Interesting decorations on the doors and railings.
We had a lot of fun looking at the wares in this store. There were unique tequila stands with shot glasses, beautiful glassware, art and much more.

Bob was caught beer handed with his Mexican mistress.

Our friend spotted this guy up on a roof. It looked like he was trying to catch flies!
After a tour around town, we went for lunch at Restaurant El Meson de Los Laureanos. Roosters and chickens roam freely around the restaurant looking for leftovers or handouts like a cat or dog (note that he waited by Bob’s seat…smart).
The kids could go to the playground just outside the restaurant while we were waiting for our food to arrive. Perfect!

This restaurant is a great place to learn about El Quelite and historical events during the Mexican revolution. If the owner is there, he will take the time to tell you about some of the history.

The waiting area for the bathroom which resembles an art gallery/museum. I could have spent the whole day in this restaurant. So much to look at.

Beautiful smiling faces from the ladies making tortillas.

Maddie and a few of our friends went for a ride on a horse drawn cart through town on narrow cobble stone streets. Beautiful homes with red tiled roofs and bougainvillea flowers everywhere you look.

It was a great day of exploring with friends!
Hi Jill
Stunning pics. Looks like you all had a great time.
Question …. who is on the crutches in the Church with Bob 🤔
Rob and Carol arrived after you all left. You will probably meet them next year!
