Carcassonne is one of my favourite cities we have visited so far. I love medieval history and architecture. It is a medieval walled city in the valley of the Aude river – the gap between the Pyrenees and the Massif Central. The wall that surrounds the city is 3 km long and we walked its length. I love this city!
