On our way to Granada, we stopped for a couple days in Cabo de Gata-Nijar National Park and stayed near La Fabriquilla beach. We relaxed on the beach and watched the sunset both nights.

Granada is located in the Andalusia region of Spain, approximately 30km from the Sierra Nevada Mountains and at the confluence of four rivers (Darro, Genil, Monachil and Beiro). It was strange going from 2,400 feet in elevation to the Mediterranean coast in an hour!
Everywhere you looked, there were paths and steps done in beautiful stone patterns.

From Mirador San Nicolas you have a great view of Alhambra, a historic Islamic palace and fortress.
