Porto, Portugal is an amazing city. It is one of my favourite cities we have visited so far. Up there, with Dresden, Bamberg and Carcassonne. We spent two days exploring the city by bus, in a boat and on foot.
Porto is one of the oldest European cities (dating back to 300 BC) located along the Douro River, near the Atlantic Ocean. There is so much old-world architecture to see. So many pictures and they do not do the city justice. You need to go there!

We took a boat tour on the Douro River.

Above and below pictures are the view from the top of one of the bridges going across the Douro River.

Above and below are some pictures taken from the Torre dos Clerigos, the city’s tallest bell tower, built in the mid 1700’s. Great panoramic views of the city.

We did a lot of walking up and down the hillsides of this beautiful city. We will have to go back for sure.
