We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Puerto Penasco. We all enjoyed going out on the SUP, especially Maddie. She liked to go out in the morning after school work was done. The sea was usually calm in the morning and the waves would pick up in the afternoon.
Surfing a small wave into shore.
She has really good balance and only fell in once when she was sideways to a wave.
Yes, I love the SUP too.
Friends of ours lent us their inflatable kayak.
The rudder wasn’t attached so we had some challenges with steering. Good times!
Breakfast in a bag. We each showed up at our neighbours with a freezer bag and eggs. All we had to do was add our desired fixings (diced peppers, tomatoes, ham, cheese, etc.) to our eggs and boil them for 13 minutes. Voila!

A friend of ours took Maddie and Bob out fishing. Not only did he take them out fishing he filleted them all as well. Thank you Greg!

This big sea lion came right up to their boat on his back with a big fish and showed them who is the real fisherman around these parts.

While our friend was helping Maddie with her fish, he had one on his line.

I think the total was 24 sea bass and Maddie lost track on how many she caught. Fish fry with the neighbours!! It was our good bye potluck as we left the next morning for Kino Bay.
Next up…life in Kino Bay.
I was just wondering where you had gotten to! Looks like you’re having a great time, making new friends and having fun.
It has been a lot of fun! We are in Kino Bay for a few more days then we will be heading to San Carlos!
Good job Maddie..always a fun time to be had when both reels are on the move! 😀 Love the pictures!
Thanks auntie Nicole! It was really fun 🙂
Hey Jill, this is a thousand trails? it is amazing. How do you stay for a month? can you let me know the finances on that?
thanks and very happy trails… Phil has been making good money playing on the strip so we are hanging here for a while
Hi Linda, this is not thousand trails. It is called Concha Del Mar and it is in Puerto Penasco, Mexico. It is $200 US for a month but there aren’t any hookups. The manager here is awesome, very resourceful and speaks perfect english. They will come fill/dump your tanks. Great beach as well.
Hi Jill! How much does it cost to fill/dump?
I’ve never tasted sea bass. What did you think of it?
It was firm and fresh but had a lot of bones. We had it poached and another time breaded in potato chips. Delicious 🙂
