One of our side trips as we headed north to Canada was Zion National Park. We stayed several days and hiked almost every trail. Unfortunately, the Virgin River was running to deep and fast for the river walk. 
For our first trail, we decided to hike Angels Landing. We traversed up twenty-one steep zigzags, then through a mile long canyon up to the Scout Lookout where Angel’s Landing begins. 
You can see some of the trail traversing across the mountain before the canyon head.
Angel’s Landing runs along a narrow rock fin with 1,000 foot drop-offs on both sides. Luckily there are anchored support chains for this section of the hike.

The rest of the trails were all beautiful and enjoyable but none of them were as amazing as our first.
Great place for all.
Free shuttle bus takes you to all the trail heads, museum, park, shopping, etc.
