After Gibraltar, we stayed in Chipiona for a couple nights.
We drove through Cadiz and struggled to find a parking spot. Google maps was off her rocker and took us down every street to no avail. We ended up parking near a historic site and walking into town.

We later drove to Chipiona. The first night we paid to stay in a campground (first picture). It was a fenced in parking lot (maybe to keep cats out haha) and the WC was about a kilometer away. The second night we moved to a free parking lot, where camping was allowed (second picture). The same WC was a short walk from us. Very funny 🙂

We stayed in Chipiona for a couple days to wait out the heavy rain coming. Spain was hit very hard with severe flooding, particularly in Valencia. Nobody on the beach or around town that day. I would like to go back another time, when the weather was better and stores were open. It had a great small town vibe.

The next day, the rain hit hard. We booked an indoor campground in Sevilla for three days, so we could dry out the canvas on the campervan and see the sights in the city. On the way, we stayed at another campground near Sevilla. Big puddles!

Our indoor camping spot. The outdoor area had a bbq area, pool, nice bathrooms, etc. The indoor spot had its purpose!

Hi Jill,
so interesting! Never heard of an indoor campground 😅 but great that it exists. You guys had some nasty weather to avoid…
